在現如今經濟快速發展的時期，總結防爆電器行業的發展狀況了解到，在我國的防爆電器行業的四十二個主要企業中，在2006年一年完成工業產值近三十五億元，與上年相比增長了三十多個百分點；在這一年實現的經濟利潤為28440萬元，增長48.13%。
與上年相比，發展步伐雖然有所放緩，但在各項經濟指標中仍保持著較快的增長速度，在經濟發展與效益方面可以說是往年_的一年。在礦用防爆電器方面，隨著煤炭工業的發展也逐步進入平穩快速的發展時期。
盡管如此，防爆行業當中仍然存有一些不可忽視的問題。對于產品銷售流通方式仍舊呈現混亂現象，而且部分小型企業產品質量問題嚴重，在低價傾銷的同時也為用戶埋下了安全隱患，不利于企業發展與行業技術的進步。雖然存在著很多防爆企業，但大多數企業規模較小，管理水平也很低，對于生產的產品技術含量也不夠高，水平也略微偏低，從而造成產品_新頻率降低。
